Alena - December, 2001

Respect to all of the Newbies and the Veterans!
This is my second trip report in two years. I just came back from another trip to Paradise. Yes, it's only been 3 days since I am back and I am so full of energy and excitement that I am writing this report. I cannot contain myself; I am still under the spell and already planning my next trip.
I am a 30 something divorced female from NY and this was my 5th trip to Hedo II in less than 3 years. This trip was the hardest to take, since I work only a few blocks from the World Trade Center Disaster area and I had to reschedule it from October to December/New Years.
This time I came back with 3 other girls, two of us are veterans, and the other two were what we call the 'Hedo Virgins'. Well, being back in Jamaica is better than being any place that I can think of. I am so lucky to have found this Seventh Heaven.
By the way, I am prude and yes, I do stay dressed in public. I believe in the "Mystery of the Discovery", however to each its own ;-). Majority of people down there prefer hanging out on the nude side, that means that we have the prude beach/pool all to ourselves most of the time and I love it.
My first New Year's Eve party at Hedo and of course I was not disappointed. It was everything and more -- excitement, entertainment, flowing champagne and great food. Where else can you start celebrating at 8PM, go to the disco at 1AM, swimming in the ocean at 3AM, and to the hot tub at 5AM? I must say, I have celebrated New Year's Eve in many different countries, but this was a dream.
So what if there is still construction going on, and the food is the worst that its ever been and the occupancy was less then 50%, so what? Nothing changed, I am still intoxicated by this magic place, still addicted and still don't understand why.
What they say about Hedo 'The Mind, The Body, The Spirit, the Soul' is the truest form of what happens. All those senses are intensified and untied from the hectic lives we live. In Jamaica they say 'No Problem, Mon' and they mean it, the only problem is leaving.
The two newbies-girls that be brought with us, were shocked at first, then they liked the idea and shortly after they no longer were virgins ;-). Now they want to know when are we going back, hehe
Here we go again, SINGLE GUYS, when will you learn that even if you are going to 'All Singles' place, which Hedo is NOT, you have to be cheerful and enjoy everything. This is a tropical vacation spot, so participate in all of the stuff that is available, don't be on a mission. Yes, there are more single men then women, and if you are EXPECTING to get lucky every night, you will be disappointed. Now, if you do want to have fun down there, please be brave, entertaining and don't give up! Just don't be obnoxious or too pushy, it does not work no matter where you are.
I see most of the guys just standing there by the bar holding onto their beers and think that its cool. Well, its not! Others sit on the prude beach all by themselves, never dare to come over and start a conversation or even offer to bring a drink from the bar (hint).
Listen guys, even if the women that you meet are not you're your type, you can still have a great chat and it's better then being lonely or bored. We met plenty of men that were great guys and we enjoyed each other's company during dinner and danced the night away. Hedo is an UNLIKELY place to meet your mate, so take pleasure in a carefree situation. All women like nice manners and cheerful personalities, we will very likely ask you to join us for dinner and who knows what else later on ;-)
Thanks again to all of the Veterans, some Newbies and of course the Staff that make Hedo what is it!
To all who wants to go there for the first time, don't fly, WALK/RUN if you have to ;-). Not only will you find yourself/each other again or for the first time, you will also discover that life can be breathtaking ;-)

Peace and Respect to All!
Love Ya!
