First Visit 11th June - 18th June 2001
After a 9 hour flight from Manchester England we arrived at Mobay Airport at 2.15 pm. Oh that wonderful warm feeling stepping off the plane. A Although this is our first hedo trip we were in jamaica staying at the Sunset Beach Resort Mobay in February this year. That was when we surfed the net for info on Jamaica and found this wonderful site (the reason we resolved to return and visit hedo). The transfer thro` took about 30 mins.we were the only two on the bus and the drive took almost 2 hours. The ganga sellers were out en route but we declined. The new road being built from Mobay to Negril did not seem to have progressed at all since our last visit.The bus journey is worth doing just to see some of the island as once you are in the zoo, as the locals call hedo, you simply will not want to leave.
Arrived at Hedo at abou 5 pm and were allocated a prude garden view room which took us over half an hour to locate later that night so we upgraded the next day to 2166 nude side ocean view. Far better and easy to find from the hot tub.
Night one was spent familiarising ourselves with the place. Dinner in the main dining room was adequate with a good selection of choices. The show in the restaurant an inoffensive diversion from the food and the service good, water and drinks were kept flowing at all times by the staff who we found were just as attentive throughout the week.
Down to the nude pool. Nothing doing. We had yet to find out the schedule of events, these were revealed later that very evening. Up to Veronicas. David`s night off. Down to the disco down with the rum cocktails speak to anybody and everybody and its time for the Hot Tub.I must say that for two Hedo first timers this was a night to remember, for any first time visitors reading this the hot tub is everything you imagine it to be and more, a place to meet and make new friends that you will keep for the whole of your holiday and beyond. Went to bed I don`t know when.
Tuesday our first full day and also pj party night. Breakfast, whatever you do do not miss breakfast. Try everything. The omelettes,Bacon,Ham,Eggs,Saltfish, Fruit this will set you up for the day.After breakfast we hit the nude beach where we nmeet Mark and Rose from Indianapolis, they take time to warn us about a guy from England who has been harassing any and every female there attached or unattached. Sure enough almost on cue the first time I went to the restrooms I came back to find Lynda had company. However a little gentle persuasion and he got the message. Thank goodness he was the only one like that that we encountered all week. A great day around the pool beach and hot tub and at 6.00pm our first taste of Roberts Jerk chicken. Wonderful !!!.
Dinner that night was im sure fine although the details escape me. After dinner back to our room 2166 to prepare for the pj party. Our first experience of what hedonism 11 is all about.
Lynda wore a red half cup bra with fake feather trim, a red thong and red hold up stockings. I wore a less striking pvc thong. No prizes but what a night. The male winner that evening wore a smile.
Afterwards the hot tub.
Wednesday. My birthday. Breakfast. Beach. Pool. Hot Tub Dinner. Back to the room for a short nap to prepare ourselves for the revelry ahead. Big mistake. the sun , jetlag, over-indulgence.rum and redstripe all kicked in at once and we both slept through until next morning. Ah well its toga party tonight so we will just have to make up for it there.Liz arrived, things were never the same.
Thursday. Breakfast. Beach. Pool Hot tub. Dinner.Spend 2 hour in our room with sheets and safety pins desperately trying to fabricate something remotely like togas. Eventually we settled for what was,I thought, a superb effect for Lynda and a passable effort for myself. It was a brilliant night and I was cautioned at some point by a co-ordinator for being too impressed by Lynda`s toga, or what was beneath it. Then to the hot hot hot tub.
Friday. Breakfast, Beach, Pool ,Hot tub, Dinner Piano Bar . What a great night in here do not miss David. A personality to be seen to be believed. Hot tub.
Saturday. I think youve got the format. Ian and Lurd went home. Never got you e-mail address guys if you read this please get in touch.One change of routine. We had to have Lynda`s shin stitched by the local doctor sent for by hedo`s nurse, Lynda had caught it getting out of the cool tub the night before. 3 stitches. Lynda said the Jamaican doctor had a wonderful bedside manner, and sends her thanks it has healed up just fine. Also we ate at the pastafari this night with Gerry & Lynn and Janet & Dave. Very good service and steaks.
Sunday. our last full day . B.B.P.HT.etc agreat last night trying to do everything all over again in one night.
Monday. Breafast, Beach Goodbyes and off to Timair for the flight back to mobay. Well worth the $ 130.00. and no delay for our flight home. Farewell Hedonism II. We Will Be Back!!!!!!!!!!
