We left for Hedonism II on September 6th. We never had experienced the "nude" vacation before. Being married for nearly 20 years, and having fun 98% of the time, we decided this could be for us. We had a terrific flight, got to the airport, quickly got to the desk and when we asked "where are you going" we sorta whispered hedonism II, to that the man grabbing our luggage shouted "two for the zoo"...we then realized our "trip" was no longer a secret.
We took the bus ride, it was all they say it is, long, winding, unsafe,etc. Once was enough, but everyone should see how the Jamaicans live. Then fly from then on.
Check in was good, rooms are nice, and the facilites are very satisfactory. All is true - that the people of Hedo, make Hedo. Our awkward moments of going from clothes to no clothes, was exactly that, moments. People who saw us heading for the beach with tee shirts and shorts on would say, hello and "this is your first day? " Not knowing how they knew would be discovered by the end of the week when you roll out of bed put on sunglasses and sandals and off you go. The entertainment staff was terrific. They made sure everyone that wanted to get involved in the activities did.
We went on the nude cruise to snorkle and cliff jump. That was fun. Word of caution....the rum punch did serve as a mind-eraser.(go slow) The water was as it is in the post card--too beautiful for words.
The food at the resort was good. The food as Pastifaries was terrific.
We met many great people there, the friendliness and attitudes were so refreshing.
For those who do not know if they will "fit in" my word is this ...go and have fun. Everyone fits in at hedo, ages 18-100, skinny,heavy, pregnant, hairy, bald, tattoed, peirced, dark, white, and everyone in between.
My overall view of hedo was this.....a wonderful place to fall in love all over again, with the same man I have spent my life with.
It only gets better !!!
and yes......we are no longer newbies but will be repeaters this September.
