Sept
7 to Sept 23, 2001
A couple were celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary at Hedo and asked if I
would come to celebrate with them. I never let a chance to go to Hedo pass up.
I was to meet one of their friends in Montego Bay and take the small plane with
her, which was fun since I didn't know what the girl looked like--only that she
had red hair and her name. Went through customs in a flash and reported to
Hedo desk for check-in. Told Tim Air that a red head will be looking for me to
go to Hedo. They surprised her and brought her right to the charter terminal and
we were on our way to Negril and Hedo--grabbed the taxi to the hotel.
Check-in was quick since no one else was there yet. A scream from Lucky the
coordinator running to me made me feel I was home again. Went through the dining
room to have some lunch where the entertainment crew were doing lunchtime spin:
Paul, Patrick, Lucky, Roxann, Angie, Detra. I had the privilege of breaking in a
few of the new girls there in the true Hedo way! The girls are cute and friendly
and take direction well--Marsha, Allison, Timianka, Sophia, and of course the
new lady in charge is ShellyAnn, who was there before.
Had fun with a prank on ShellyAnn-while she left the resort, I spearheaded the
operation that gave a nude beach view to her entire belongings and furniture
that we removed from the coordinator's quarters. She did a double take as she
finally walked past us sitting on her bed on the beach when she realized what we
had done.
The inside pictures I took of the construction will tell all-judge for yourself.
Hedo also has a new shop that opened-an erotic boutique-I got to be the first
customer!Enjoy the pictures I've asked Denny to post with this trip report.
First I went to the nude beach for a social drink at Delroy's. Scumba was there,
also Anna; I got my drink saw the anniversary couple and jumped in the pool
where I saw some of my buddies from other trips in Sept--sure was good to see
them.
Hi to Tony Babes Al Fran Harry WG Pat & Doni--who have some great pictures
of lil old me and all the rest of the good people I met.
All was good until that morning of Sept. 11. The management was running around
telling us that something happen in New York & Washington D.C. The TV room
was full of people; they opened Veronicas so people could watch the TV there.
No one was on the beach for hours; the TVs were mobbed by Jamericans &
Americans alike. Some crying, some just shocked. Other people were trying to
call home. A bad day for all concerned. Some people were scheduled to leave the
next day, which was put on hold because no planes were flying. The hotel was
giving a discount to whoever could not leave the country. A lot of people were
upset at that because other hotels did not charge their guests. I spent several
days more there but I don't like being herded in a plane so I spent some extra
bucks to stay longer.
Although Hedo guests are still the same, Hedo has changed. The attitude of some
of Hedo's staff seems hardened. And the construction looks like it's just
begun. Men were carrying women on their backs on some walkways because the
debris and their heels didn't go well. The dining room floor got ripped up and
precluded the lunchtime spin. I'm not optimistic that it will be ready by
Halloween when I go back.
