Nathan & Jeannie - 04/01

BACKGROUND INFO.
The inspiration for our first trip to Hedonism II unfortunately involved an 81 year-old man pulling out in front of my on the highway. I had this car accident in November of
2000, four months after our we got married in June of 2000. Consequently, I was in a wheelchair for the next four months and needed walking inspiration. What better
inspiration than a tropical vacation! I started to walk again one month before our departure date. Therefore, I walked with a limp on the trip, however, I had a great time.

Jeannie (one half of "fromminnesota", Nathan is the other half, Jeannie authors this report.)

Thus begins...

Nathan and Jeannie's
NEWBIE HEDO EXPERIENCE
Saturday 4/7/01 - Saturday 4/14/01

FIRST DAY

Arrival.
Took the bus, bought Red Stripes for everyone (including driver). Somebody tells us: "Don't stay on the nude side, it's not what you think. They're all naked, fat,
old Europeans." I don't really understand why any of that is a bad thing, however, I am sure glad that we didn't take that advice! All on the bus seem to be on the
prude side, but we see them later on the fun side!

Check-in.
My hubby goes to the restroom and I am responsible for getting the room. Apparently, they have to give us a nude-side room to insure an ocean view. No
problem with me! You see, we booked through a friend and were too chicken to ask for nude straight out. My hubby comes back and claims that I am lying I
swear, I am not. He is more apprehensive than I. The room is ready, so, we head towards it.

Nap.
Yes, I was being lame, but, our flight did leave at 5am and my ankle was sore. I must sleep before the evening begins. Hey, nice mirror up there. Maybe things
will get cozy before dinner. I feel that Hedo vibe.

Dinner.
Tons of food and a very smiley, attentive staff. I hardly finish my drink and there is another.

Entertainment.
Great singer in the main dining room. We want to adjust our table selection for a better view and run into a couple of couples that we had been emailing through
Denny's Visitor List. My hubby gave me a hard time for being so bold as to give out our photo to strangers, however, by the end of the trip, he was thanking me
for all of the people that we met this way.

More entertainment.
On to the piano bar. For the newbies, this is sing-a-long type thing. And, you may end up doing a little dance on top of the piano. More about this later. Much fun.
Met more folks and some from the home state area and saw a little nudity to get us warmed up.

The moment of truth. Hot tub time.
We have never been nude in public except for a short while on a beach in Maui. Oh well, the cover of night will save us. Very nice. Bubbles, heat, and a little
voyeurism. Fun stuff. We were not hassled or made to feel uncomfortable and mostly visited with others, drank and laughed a lot.

REST OF TRIP
Here's where the vacation gets real hazy... I drank a lot and had very much fun and I will now describe the high points...

On the waterfront.
We go to the ocean, pool area and hot tub daily and meet a lot of people. This nudity thing in the daylight is a lot of fun and more comfortable than I thought
that it would be. Don't be self-conscious ladies, I weight over 200 lbs. and walk with a limp, and, was still very comfortable with myself.

I would like to add here that it rained daily from about 2pm - 4pm. As a happy twist of fate, this was our hot tub time. I would like to thank Eddie for the dice and
our "Julie McCoy" (Laurie) for running the game.

Also, I agree with Chris Santilli, that jet in the cool tub is a female must-do.

And, we brought 2 rafts and actually were fine with the floats that they provide. Do bring those insulated mugs.

Finally, and here's a tip for the newbies: When you decide to try the nude side, take it off right away. What the hell! If you don't - you may get some very friendly
heckling.

On the boat.
The catamaran cruise was a blast and another must-do. What was more fun? Trying to get the prudes to disrobe or mooning passing boats? Thank you Peter for
your amazing dance moves! Also, the hubby gave me a heart attack by jumping off of one of the Pickled Parrot's 50 ft. cliffs. Looking back, I really should have
gotten that foot massage.

At the piano bar.
We loved this place. Here are the "more about this" details. My hubby did do a little dance on the piano for me. What a wonderful guy. Isn't he sexy? Only at
Hedo ladies. I am sure that when we go again he'll be topping that performance. Thanks to Kevin and Peter for their support. Thanks Jim for your creative Candy
Man song - you are a brave one.

Pajama night.
This night was especially full of a lot of fun things to look at. Casey and Tammy you guys were so sexy! And kudos to Angie for her amazing blinkers! And
Danielle, you looked perfect.

Wet T-shirt contest.
You've got to see this fellas. Melanie, I hope that you don't want to kill me, but, Nathan sure liked your cookies.

Toga night.
Very much fun. Lots of alcohol. Somebody stop the guys from getting any more rounds of shots! I couldn't believe that my shy husband was asking me, "Is it
alright if I pull my sheet up like this to show off my butt?"

IN GENERAL

Service.
The service was impeccable. Friendly, pleasant staff everywhere and quite a lot of security. When the dining room staff saw my limp, they asked repeatedly if they
could bring me my dinner.

Food.
The food was plentiful and the drinks and drink selection were impressive.

Grounds.
The beach and grounds were really well kept.

Atmosphere.
The atmosphere was very comfortable. We never felt pressured to get into anything that we didn't want to.

People.
Here's where I want to thank Jim & Angie, Tom & Laurie, Jim & Lori, Kevin & Ali, Eddie & Danielle, Peter & Janet, Casey & Tammy, Melanie & Russell, Mike &
Brenda, Jeremy & Ami, Michael & Wendy, Kevin & Holly, the zucchini and the list goes on... If I have forgotten you, or screwed up your names, please do not take
offense. The whole week got a little blurry as the alcohol took effect. Anyhow, everybody at the resort during our stay really all made our trip fantastic and cheered
me up immensely. Thank you! We'll see you again soon.

BOTTOM LINE
We got our money's worth and then some.

I don't have anything really negative to report. Any Cons were outweighed by the Pros of the experience. We wanted to go and have fun with each other and others and
that is how it was for us. It was nice to get away from the daily grind. I really enjoyed really getting to know my husband again in such a comfortable atmosphere. I had
no idea how sexy he is. Friends have commented on how romantic our relationship seems since we have returned from our trip.

Also, I had no idea how generally friendly and social people can be. Normal life is really disappointing compared to this place. Clothing isn't all that it's cracked up to be!

NOTE TO NEWBIES
I hope that this report has put you at ease. Book now. No really, book now. Save your pennies, go often. We'll see you there.

Toga night. Don't we look happy?
