Karen - 12/00

Let me start with the room, it was awful.  Old, uncomfortable bed, shabby
furnishings, and the shower pressure was awful.  Considering what it costs,
the management should be able to refurbish the rooms.

The food was barely average, breakfasts and lunch in the dining room were
typical cafeteria-style meals.  Even dinners had nothing special, other than
the lobster on New Year's Eve.  Did try the Italian Restaurant twice, and it
was nothing to write home about.  Michael's Nude Grill was the best place to
eat there.

The nude beach was a total disappointment, very rocky and shallow.  The prude
beach was beautiful, much nicer.

The gym needs a total makeover.  Each day several machines were not
functioning, and the weight machines and free weights are old and antiquated.

The main problem I had was with "The Rudes" as I call them.  The majority of
the frequent visitors had an attitude.  If you were a first-timer, they
basically turned up their noses.  There were many cliques, who wouldn't lower
themselves to even say hello.  Also many of these individuals treated some
workers badly, telling them what to do (i.e, get me a chair, a pad, a towel,
etc.).

Overall I was very disappointed with Hedo II.  I have read many trip reports
and new it wasn't brand new.  However, it was much below the standard I
thought it would have.  I'm not sure why so many people are repeat visitors.

Thank you,

Karen
