Richard (Papa Richy) - December, 2001

This was my first trip to a Hedo resort. I went the 12/16-12/23  the resort was pretty empty. There were many good things but the resort had some issues.

The Good
I think I knew everyone staying at the resort (nude side), there was 20% occupancy.  I still had a blast.  We made our own fun chilling at the pool side and beach smoking a fatty that Neil rolled.  The water sports were great, sailing, scuba.  I especially loved playing volleyball with everyone that was cool, but what made my trip was the people.  There may have been a few of us but we became good friends and partied for 1000 people.

I want to say hi to Chuck, Diane, Will, Vin, Sherry, Neil, Iggy, Stephanie, Rick, Sue (both), George, Suzie and Mike, David and danel (you still owe me a show, I'll take the video).  Hello, to everyone else that I meet,  I think I am still buzzing from the week.

Only part that was bad was when people were leaving not to many new people came checked in to keep the crowd. So you really noticed at activities. To the volley players after you left no one replaced you but the first few days were great.

On a special note to Neil, Ash Lee and Mr. Hashy, thanks man,  we will party next year.  I want the 6 inche by foot long rolled labeled Mr. Sock is back.  (P.S> to whomever borrowed Mr. Sock, hope he kept you warm and thanks for putting back).

When we got there our first room stunk, so we were moved due to the ants and lack of plumbing next to the hot tub.  The move was great, we got good sound effects from our neighbors, David and Danel, whom need to get a muffler for the vibraters, they were super powered or something.  They could use them to break concrete, but its all good Man.

The Bad
As I said the resort had some issues.  Mainly the service was bad, according to repeat offenders, even bad for Hedo II.  I tried to get my friend a birthday cake, I couldn't even buy one (not even a cup cake for $20 bucks US).  The construction was annoying.  You had to walk around the resort to get up top.  However, they are giving two free nights for people who ask for it because of the inconvenience. The new hibachi Japanese restaurant is now open.  Great food, try the shrimp.  We ordered the whole menu to try it all. The water slide looked almost complete.  So on Jamaican time look for it next summer.  Other than that the weather was ok the beach was average.

My biggest grip was not being able to get a 2am hamburger for my friend on his birthday (I was there at 1:40am).  "no burgers on the resort at this time man."  UGH  that stunk trust me.  Just knowing how great the people are and how much fun we had with only 20% capacity makes me want to come back when the place is truly alive.  I will be back hopefully in early December next year.

Overall

I like Hedo II, the people, and the party.  I will be back and I hope next to meet more friends.

Sincerely,

Papa Richy
