Hans & Viki - 10/01

Hans and Vicki Trip report 10/2001

WOW!!  That was a trip of a life time.  Now lets see where do I begin.

I have always wanted to get nekkid on a nude beach, but my wife always told me that she was a prude and would never do that.  We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on Oct 8th and I wanted to do something very special, so I planned a trip to Jamaica.  We talked about resorts and did a little research.  After which we booked Hedo III (yes I did say III 3).  Then I found Denny P's site and we started reading the message boards together.

Vicki became very apprehensive and asked me to cancel the Hedo.  Being the loving husband that I am I obliged.  I still wanted to go to a nude resort and we settled on Grand Lido Negril.

We arrived in MoBay at around 12:30 pm Jamaica time.  Got staged for the GLN bus and watched the staging area for Hedo grow.  My heart was breaking, boy did I ever want to go to Hedo.  I thought that we would at least go on the same bus as the Hedo group, but I guess SuperClubs does not want to mix the groups (I wonder why).  We were the only ones on the bus and had boring ride.

We checked into GLN at 3:00 pm everything was going great.  Hurricane Iris was do to hit sometime that evening or early the next morning, so they could not get us an upgrade, since they were moving everyone off of the lower level.

We walked down the nude side clothed.  There were at most 20 people milling around the beach/pool area.  The prude side was empty, not a sole.  We were pretty hungry by this time, so decided to go to dinner at the Italian resturant.  The main dinning room was all put away, in preparation for the hurricane and there was one other couple in the restaurant.  It was beginning to dawn on Vicki that we may have a pretty boring week.  We ate dinner and went back to our room to relax from our trip (at least that is what she called it) and shower after the activity lol.

We took another stroll still not many people around.  Vicki suggested that we just go over to Hedo since it was just across the road.  There were more people in the lobby of Hedo than in the whole GLN resort.  We enquired about day/night passes and went back to GLN.  On the way back Vicki again suggested that we check into maybe transferring over to Hedo on Tuesday.  We would spend 3 days at GLN and 4 days at Hedo.  That sounded good to me.

We stopped at the desk and asked the manager about transferring.  He checked on room availability and said that there was 1 room left, but it was right in the middle of the construction zone.  We talked a little more and started to leave.  He said he needed to know soon or the room would be gone.  He thought that we were talking about transferring that night yet.  Vicki just did not know if she was ready yet.

We went in the lobby to talk it over.  We looked around the lobby of GLN, saw nobody, the only sound was of the beautiful water wheel in the lobby.  No music, no voices, no laughter.  We jumped at it and we were at Hedo in about 30 min.  It was already after dark when we got to Hedo, so we walked around Hedo a bit.  We stopped and talked to a few couples during our walk and told them that it was our first time at Hedo and nude.  Pretty scary stuff.  They all gave us the same advice.  It is much easier to get undressed in the veil of darkness.

We went back to the room and changed into our towels and bathing suits.  Once at the Nude pool area it was kind of intimidating.  It was Lifestyles week and it was packed.  Vicki started in a couple of times and then would back out.  I finally convinced her to just jump in.  No one was watching or even knew that we were there.  We took the first plunge.

We were pretty tired after a day of travel and went to bed early.

Sunday was kind of a none day, since Iris was supposed to hit and things were pretty well closed up.  We walked the nude beach (clothed) and mainly became acquainted with the resort, till lunch time.  After the lunch time activities we decided to take a nap.  Iris still had not hit, so we decided to spend the night in the pool area.  It was dark again by now and went through the same sequence getting undressed and into the hot tub.

Monday started out as a beautiful day.  It was our anniversary day Oct 8th.  We arranged to renew our vows and it again took us until mid-day before we really got going.  We watched the wet T-Shirt contest with great excitement.  Actually I enjoyed the games after the contest.  You will just have to see these for yourselves.  The closer you get to the action the better it is, you will find out what I mean.

I convinced Vicki to go down to the beach.  This was our first time in the day light, a whole new experience.  I got out of my suit and I was nude while Vicki kept her suit on.  She turned on her back and I undid her top.  That was not unusual.  Then they started up the volley ball game.  I love to play volleyball, but the nude thing was a little more than I cared to get into that soon.  Vicki prodded me into playing.  It took me a game to get comfortable, but it takes me that long clothed too.  No big deal.

Now this left Vicki by herself and she was getting thirsty and hungry.  The bar and grill are way down at the other end of the beach.  If she wanted anything, SHE was going to have to walk all the way down the beach.  She was already topless and figured that she could handle it.  She takes off on her trek.  Guess what???  She made it all the way down and back without any body really even noticing her.  So far so good.

Now it was time to meet the minister and renew our vows.  We got all dressed up in our finest Hedo wear.  Vicki was wearing a white see through shift and I had on my black shorts and white linen shirt.  A couple that we had meet earlier said that they would take pictures and the Lifesylers said they would have people come down too.  We wanted it on the prude beach, because we were planning on family photos.  The couple arrived just in time to film the ceremony in their TOWELS.  They came straight from the beach.  They thought that it would be a simple little ceremony and then back to the beach, WRONG!!

Hedo really does a great job with their weddings and renewal of vows.  They had a reception setup just for us and we needed our toweled friends to witness our exchange of vows.  So we trekked off to Veronica's (my wife's real name is Vironica), with our friends decked out in their fancy yellow Hedo beach towels.  We cut the cake and had champagne.  They were so embarrassed.  We loved it.  We just tell people that they had their suits on, since they came right from the beach.  No problem mon.

Next the photographer guided us around the resort and snapping pictures in special spots.  We had a rendezvous on a picnic table and had him snap a picture of us sitting on our table.  Then Vicki wanted a picture in front of the grotto.  We entered the pool area and told people what we wanted to do.  Everyone graciously moved out of the way.  We were so very careful to be sure that everyone was out of the way.  As we walked up the stars to the pool area, from the resort we peered into the grotto and made certain that there was not anyone inside, it was pretty busy this week.  It is quite a popular place and the name in Chris' book really fits it.

We both thought it kind of strange that as people walked by they were giggling and pointing at us.  Once the photos were taken, people asked us if we knew about the activity in the background.  Of course we had no idea what they were talking about (see the photo below).  As it ended up we were the very last ones to find out, that there was a couple, coupled in the grotto during out photo session.  Shoot even the people inside knew.  For prude newbies we were making quite the splash.  People were getting to know us pretty quickly.

That night was regae night.  Vicki entered the contest and won the ragae queen contest.  She won our first bottle of rum.  What a night.  After this the days ran together, so I will just tell the highlights from here on out.

The next highlight was the nude booze cruise.  Do not miss this for anything.  It cost $90.00 per couple and in typical all inclusive style everything is included.  Booze, Music, Snorkel Gear and a GREAT time.  The first stop is snorkeling and then off to the parrot for a little cliff diving and rope jumping.  I do not like diving that much, but thought that I could do the rope swing.  That went so well that I went on up to the cliff and jumped off.  I will not call it a dive, but it was fun and would do it again.

We participated in most of the activities.  This is a great way for newbies to meet people.  You will meet other newbies, plus the veterans will see your face and talk to you more when they see you around the resort.

I entered the men in motion contest on Thursday and won second prize.  A bottle of Tia Maria.  The Hedo bucks were really starting to roll in by this time too.  Once again the best part of the contest were the games afterwards.  The games are a blast, I even got to watch my wife remove fruit from a fellow contestant.  We got right home and went out and bought a case of fruit cocktail.  Three days later we had to go get another case lol

Friday was lobster day on the beach.  Some friends told us that they had arranged a lobster luncheon on a deserted part of the beach and wondered if we wanted to join them.  They did not need to ask me twice.  Vicki had said before we left there was only 2 things that she wanted.  Sex and a lobster dinner.  Well the lobster dinner completed her request.  The speed boat from the dive shop ran our group down there and dropped us off.  We arranged a time for them to come back and pick us up.  We ran down the beach a bit and stripped, took a dip before we ate.  Put a few things back on and went for our elaborate sit down lobster meal.  They had a nice tent setup and we got to sit on stumps around the wooden table.  It really was a lot of fun.  Total cost after the tip for the boat was under $15.00.  Where else can you get a lobster meal cooked out on an open flame on the beach for $15.00.

Check out was uneventful, tearful, but uneventful.

MoBay airport was out of power when we arrived.  This meant that all of their equipment was down.  So our bags had to be checked by hand.  We were patted down  and our carry on searched 3 times before we boarded the plain, but that was all fine by me.  I am very appreciative of the added security.  Flying did not bother me one bit and the flight home went very well.

Hedo is a great time, just get involved with the activities and talk to everyone you see.  Honestly no one bites.

Respect,
Hans & Vicki

PS  I did not forget about the construction.  It is a non-event for us.  Construction is baddly needed and we appreciated that the resort is trying to improve.  We cannot wait until our next visit probably in May to see it all complete.
