H-II & H-III

Trip Report Duane & Kelli Aug 27-Sept 8

This was our third trip to Hedo II so we decided to spend the first three of our twelve days checking out Hedo III and then going on to Hedo II.

I have read a lot of requests on the message board from travelers wanting to ask if they should go to Hedo II or III so here it goes.

Flights were great AJ was on time and breakfast was good (we love AJ and fly them every chance we get). Champagne flowed freely and we caught a light buzz prior to landing. We arrived at Hedo III around 12:00 and the first thing we noticed was that the beauty of the resort was quite nice as opposed to the look of Hedo II. Check in was smooth and we didn't even have time for a drink prior to getting to our room. The rooms are awesome compared to Hedo II. The resort being so new the rooms sparkled with newness and freshness. In each room is a large step up jetted tub and ours overlooked the nude pool area. We hustled down to the nude pool area and were surprised to find only three or four people so we wondered what was going on elsewhere that was keeping everyone away. I made the mistake of being so bored I got over stoned and drank way to much vodka pineapple......sorry girls but I won't be eating pineapple for quite some time!!! Kelli went out on her own in search of some evening activities and came home very early and very disappointed.....the very last thing I remember her saying in between my praying at the toilet was "we are leaving in the morning". Bottom line was we found the resort beautiful, the food great, and the staff very attentive to our needs. The only problem is we do not go to Hedo for any of those things......we go to Hedo for the people and the sexual energy, it is in those areas that Hedo III was lacking. In fact the 12 hours we were there it was flat out nonexistent. A good Hedo Bud said before we left he wanted to try Hedo III...when he retires...I now see what he meant. Hedo II----- YES WE ARE HOME!!!!! The best thing about Hedo III was the three single girls we shared a van with who also were ditching Hedo III in favor for Hedo II. You girls made the 4 hr trip seem like a half hour. The road from Sangster to Negril seems worse than ever and it took a lot of patience to make the trip. I would highly recommend the flight vs the drive and up until now I felt the other way around. We will take the plane in Jan. for sure. Check in was a breeze no waiting and the H block room we wanted was gotten for us after a little rearranging. The first thing that we noticed was the construction. The area in front of the dining room is totally torn up and fenced off and the pathway from the dining room is steep so be careful. As a whole I felt the construction was very controlled and done in the least intrusive manner possible. We did not run into the construction except going up to dinner so it had 0 impact on our trip. I will say that if you are a prude in that pool it would have been bad because it was being all torn up right around the sunbathers (who wants to be there anyway)?? Our H block room had no hot/cold water problem a perfect air conditioner and great furnishings. There is A LOT of construction going in all the rooms. They are removing and replacing or repairing all air conditioning units and removing all tub/showers and repairing or replacing them. It seems that all rooms are getting at least a face lift and that was nice to see. Lots of painting and furniture/matress replacement going on as well. We did have a problem with our shower head that wouldn't let water out. A complaint to the front desk and it was fixed in 10 minutes >>>>WOW>>>>> that's fast even for a US hotel. We caught up with friends we had met on line from Denny's great trip date board and started our Hedo party buzz. The speakers at the hot tub don't work and we missed the music that sets that great hedo mood. The music at Delroy's is the Hedo favorites CD and a few new CD's thrown in as well. That will make those of you who don't want to hear the pussy song 28 times a day happy. I in fact like it and all the others on that CD. Delroy and Scumba served up the great usual service and drinks keeping us happy and engaging us in great conversation. One unsung bartender is Maria...she is the hardest working gal on the nude side and never seems to get mentioned much. The only negative bar experience was the two relief bartender gals who stepped in for Delroy and Scumba. These two gals were the rudest most inattentive employees of any type I have ever seen at Hedo. These two girls were much more concerned about talking and eating bananas than much else. Roberts grill is fantastic and had a wider selection of food than in previous trips. The jerk chicken was awesome but no fish this time....gosh I thought that Jamaica would have more fish than chicken...silly me for thinking that hard. I don't pay much attention to the E.C.'s but they all seemed fairly new. Chubby is the only one I really knew and although they all tried hard they just did not have the same old Hedo flair. I assume it will come with time. The disco had a great mix of music, fantastic bar service and a lot of great hot sexy people getting in the groove! Lots of people every night and not too many over aggressive locals. We did meet some great locals that were a blast. Give the local Jamaicans a chance and I think if you get to know them you will appreciate the Jamaican culture and people (maybe more than you will know)..lol The dining room food selection was good although I don't really remember too much about it as food is not my #1 priority at Hedo. We did eat at Pastafari's one night and found that other than a nice private table, some different wine and good company I would not waste the time. The Scotch Bonnet seating was taken off the main pool area and moved to the back of the dining room which was a disappointment as eating under the stars is always such a great time. Everything was great on this trip especially the new special friends Kel & I made. You guys know who you are and hopefully you know how much our times with you have given us some incredible fantastic memories. Denny as always your site is a great prelude to a trip and a great cure for DIF!!!!!!!!! Peace Out and Maximum Respect See ya in January Duane & Kelli
