Den & Karen - 02/01

Since we read most of the trip reports posted prior to us going to Hedo II we
decided we needed to also post one. We will try to describe one of the most
enjoyable weeks of our lives.
The flight to MoBay was pretty routine left LAX around 9:30p.m. flew non
stop. We arrived at 6:25 a.m. and headed straight to the superclub desk for
our bus ride to Hedo. The bus ride was definitely an adventure but not half
as bad as expected, this could be due to the fact that we arrived so early on
a Sunday morning and there wasn't much traffic. Although we did stop for a
breakfast red stripe. Check in was also not as bad as we had heard either.
Our room wasn't ready because we arrived so early but we went and had
something to eat and the room was ready soon after. Actually as it turned
out it was kinda nice that our room wasn't ready as this gave us time to meet
Deanna and Dan, Mike and Myra, and Eric(the surfer) the people we spent the
most time with and enjoyed every minute of.
Our first day was fun but short. We were beat from the long flight with very
little sleep and we drank way too much way too early. We mostly hung on the
beach until it started raining and we followed everyone to the hot tub for
happy hour and jerk chicken. The jerk chicken is so good and we looked
forward to it daily. We left the hottub around 6 for what was supposed to be
a 2 hour nap and ended up waking up Monday morning.
Day 2- Feeling rested and ready to go we decided to pace our drinking today.
Me, Dee, and Myra all decided to enter the wet T-shirt contest. We had a lot
of fun and Myra won 3rd place. All of us usually participated in some of the
daily activities, we were collecting our Hedo $. We played nude volleyball,
had a blast. We all met for dinner and the nightly activities. Tonight was
regee dance night and Karen won Regee Dance queen and Dat (what couldn't he
do?) was crowned king. Then off to the disco for topless night. After the
disco we headed to the late night hot tub activities where we first met the
newlyweds, Kevin and Tracy.
Day 3-All the days seem to blend together so excuse me if I accidentally
misplace days. We spent most of the day again just relaxing on the beach
catching some rays. Took our first banana boat ride, what a blast!! We all
went on the 3 hour nude cat cruise. Den, Dan, Kevin and Tracy were all the
daredevils and poor Tracy almost got more than she bargained for on the water
slide. Then we all headed to dinner and battle of the sexes. That was fun
even though the men TOTALLY Cheated. Then it was off to the disco for PJ
night. Congrats to Kevin for winning most virginal and Karen for 3rd place
in sexiest.
Day 4-We got up early as usual and met for breakfast. Took another banana
boat ride this time with Mike and Myra. Then Den and I, Dee and Dan and
Kevin and Tracy took a guided tour for shopping and the lighthouse. A word
of advice, DO NOT buy from the little vendors wait till you get to the mall
it is less than 1/2 price there. We learned the hard way. The light house
was nice then we headed to watch the sunset at Rick's Cafe. Really enjoyed
watching the locals cliff dive. Upon arrival back to Hedo we all headed to
the scotch Bonnet, too slow and the food was OK but liked the regular dinner
buffet best. We decided to try the piano bar tonight, it was OK but too slow
of a pace for the week we were having so we left and went to the disco.
Another late night.
Day 5- Got up early and met for breakfast then headed to our usual beach
spot. Today was Toga night so besides playing volleyball the girls headed to
toga tying class, trust me it wasn't too helpful. Thanks Dee for helping us
do ours we would have been lost without you. We were surprised at the number
of people not in togas at dinner as it is advertised no sheet no eat. After
dinner all of dressed headed to the floor for the activities. Congrats to
Dee for winning most revealing, and to put her Toga in one word.WOW!! After
dinner we went to the disco and then headed to the beach for a friendly game
of "dice" on the prude beach. Then off to the hottub for another late night.
Our usual bedtime was somewhere between 3:30-4:00 am. Thanks to everyone
involved for making that a "memorable" night.
Day 6- Our last full day and Mike and Myras last day. We spent the morning
touring Grand Lido, very nice but very expensive. We hated to tell them bye
we had so much fun with them. Another day working on the tan, we are pretty
dark by now. I had a massage, it was heaven. The rain came in again but only
lasted a couple of hours. Overall the weather was perfect. We all met for
dinner and then to the beach for the beach party. We all laughed so hard
watching all of us attempt these games and me and Dee got to actually taste
the sand in the don't drink and drive game. I will never forget the look on
Dees face when Physco Wally grabbed her during one of the games. ROFLMAO!!!!
Then off to the disco and then for our last night on the beach. Ever tried
to do it in a hammock? Don't!!!! I can still hear Dee laughing at us as we
flipped the hammock and landed on the rocks.
Day 7-Our last day-boo hoo. We felt like kids having to leave Disneyland for
the first time. Our bodies were physically exhausted and were telling us it
was time to leave but our minds wanted to stay in paradise forever. We had
to check out so we put stuff in D&D's room so we could shower before we left.
Thanks again. Den had talked me into flying Timair even though our bus ride
wasn't bad but we wanted to stay at Hedo as long as possible. We left around
2 and got to Timair where even though I was petrified I took the 15 minute
flight to MoBay. Den wanted to do a flyby like Mike and Myra had done but I
told him I would "kill him" if he even asked the pilot. We got to the
airport and our flight home was 30 minutes late.
Overall, Hedo II was the best vacation we have every taken. The rooms are
definitely not the Ritz Carlton but they are clean and satisfactory. Thank
you Denny P for your site, it was so nice meeting people ahead of time took
some of the edge off. I was very apprehensive about the single guys there
but I must actually tell them, especially Eric, Mike, Dat, and Dan they were
all very nice, polite and very respectful of couples. Other than a few that
stared alittle too much-like Physco Wally, they weren't a problem at all.
Thanks again to Dan and Dee, Mike and Myra, Kevin and Tracy, Jan and Chris,
and Eric for spending so much time with us and making our trip one that we
will never forget.
