Danny - 12/00

I had attended Hedo ll from 12/26/00 to 1/2/01 for the first time. First
of all if I had to do it all over again I would just for the experience but,
I will never go again for the following reasons.
*The rooms were filthy and small (I've had better at motel 6)
*The people who considered themselves repeat veterans were predominately
ass-holes. All I heard was that you don't pay for the room and good food its
the lifestyle. Forgive me but I did pay a premium and I do want a quality
room and food.
* The food and selections were horrible. Only 2 restaurants to choose from
for a sit-down dinner and one was closed 3 of the 7 days.
*There were more single men there and all they did was crowd you in the
hottub and masturbate. Dont believe me? I have proof.
*The beach was small and the water was full of rocks thus you cant even walk
out for a dip you had to have a float.
*The drinks were so watered down that after a dozen you cant even get a buzz.
There were bootleg name brands
*The workout facility was commendable for the various equipment but not kept
up well. 2 of the 4 tread mills were down the whole week thus causing people
to get upset when I wanted 30 minutes. The free weights were cheaply painted
black. The paint constantly cracked off in my face skin and clothes.
*Many of the staff were burned out due to the overwhelming pressure that
these so called veterans demanded w/ no tip. i.e. demanding the guy who is
cleaning the pool to hike across the campus and get them a towel without even
a thankyou.
*The security was lax..People who were from other clubs just walking through
with clothes on and some even had kids.
*Towels by the beach were gone by 9:00AM.
*These other affiliated clubs and tours we could do at no charge did not
exist without a huge charge. i.e. $110 day to go next door for lunch.
*There were some employees that went far above to call of duty, hence I
tipped them generously. as for getting change for large bills, there were no
change to find.
*Many employees from the main building had no business strlling through naked
land thus doing so with snickers.
As for me the major reason I will never go back are the actual people
who go there. For some reason these people feel they are a breed above and
were rude and disrespctful. if I was not a gentleman, they would have eaten
lots of sand. I did meet a few nice people. and I also told some of the
arrogant snobs how I felt and prescribed many enemas.
The place needs a major over haul for the prices charged. As for the
hotel staff in general, they are kind hardworking individuals who I would
like to meet again hopefully at another resort.
Thankyou Denny for helping me get this issue off my chest and in your lap.
God Bless
Danny
