We decided to take a trip sometime in March so I started doing research on the net. We wanted a place that was fun for single people and boy did we find it. My boss had been to Hedo so I looked it up and found Denny's site. The girls left it up to me to decide where we would go! Thanks Denny for your site and the people on it, this site made me decide to go to Hedo, and I am so glad we did. We are from Kansas and yes we could be called boring. But we had a great time and I can't wait to go back.
We got to hedo on Friday about 4:00. Got right into our room and they even gave us an ocean view room, big surprise cause we were booked for garden view prude. Met some great people on the bus ride down, we ended up spending most of our time with them (Carol and Snooky). Friday night was the beach party (WOW) this is a good way to start a vacation off, to bad we were so tired and we went to bed around 12:30. Saturday got out of bed around 10 and headed to the beach. Met some more great people from Washington. I had read on the boards that people were very friendly but I was amazed at how nice people were. We talked to so many great people. It rained that afternoon and every afternoon after that, but we would just take a nap and chill out. Everything runs together from here on out. We went snorkeling and walked down the beach. I am so glad we did not go to Sandals or some place like that , what a bore. We never got the courage to go over to the nude side, maybe next time. We went snorkeling Sunday morning and there were people from the nude side that went out on the same boat. The thing that I remember most (about the people from the nude side) was how friendly and helpful they were. We didn't know what we were doing and they were so helpful. We encountered some girls from New York, (on the prude side) that about kicked our ass cause we took their floaties not knowing they were theirs. Other than that everyone on the whole place was great!!!! The staff was also great. I always felt safe even at night walking alone. The security was always asking if everything was alright, and if you ever needed anything just ask someone and you would get it. The entertainment people impressed me the most, I wish I was as bold and confident at those people. They were always good for a laugh, and very friendly.
My favorite part of the trip would be the people! The Jamaican men are so fine and fun (Marlon, George,.....)! I was so pissed one night because of some vinny that was drunk and stupid, but some great bartenders, whose names I can't remember (sorry), helped us out and got rid of the jerk. Hedo is definitly about the people.
I am back in Kansas now and I am so bored. Can't wait to go back, hopefully as early as November. If you are not sure about weather to go or not you should definitely go! I have never been to such a fun place and remember we didn't even go to the nude side, so it is fun no matter what you are wanting to do! Before I went I was worried about everything, now I see that there is no need to worry about anything.
