Tony & Connie - 2/00

I promised Denny a trip report so hear it is.

I have to begin with our first trip last year in February. This is when we
met our friends from Maine. We have all stayed in touch and become really
close despite the 1,400 miles between us, we managed to visit with each
other twice and planned this trip to Hedo together. ( Thanks C & T)

After the arrangements were made we posted the date of our trip on Denny's
web site. I highly recommend doing this. We met so many people. One
couple arranged a chat session for us all on Sunday night, this worked out
very well. ( thanks Hunter )

Arrived at the airport at 3 am Saturday morning in freezing rain, my
brother-in-law dropped us off, I felt the guilt as he left to drive back
home and we were off to a tropical paradise.

The trip was with out incident, boarded at 5, arrived in MoBay around 11am
to the beautiful 80 something degree weather.....oh how wonderful. No
thoughts of the freezing rain or my brother-in-law back home at this point

Made our way through immigration "NO PROBLEM MON" got to the super clubs
desk and "PROBLEM'', they didn't have our name on the list. They finally
got it straightened out and we are off to the bus. To our surprise the
approach by the local pharmaceutical venders didn't happen this time. The
so called "ride from hell" was the same except the driver wasn't as
informative as the driver last year. As for the driving, not much
different then riding with my husband. Roads haven't changed a bit, still
very bumpy. I just wonder how much longer it will take them to finish the
highway, didn't look like they had made much progress since last year.

Arrived in Negril around 1 PM. Our first night we had to stay at Village
point due to no availability when we booked the trip. We had hoped we could
get a room but no luck, so off we went to Village point. The Hedo staff
were so helpful, they allowed us use of all the amenities that Hedo has to
offer without having to purchase a day pass, it was a short walk along the
beach from Village Point to Hedo. I love this place. So...we got settled
in our room and made a B line to the hot tub where we finally got to met The
Hunter's, what a nice couple. We were expecting our friends from Maine
around 5 so we just hung out waiting on them to arrive, they finally made it
around 7 ish so we had dinner and back to the hot tub and the beach.
Finally went to bed around 2 am.

Awoke the next morning to the sound of someone knocking at the door. It was
C & T from Maine, guess if it weren't for them we would have slept our
vacation away. Another beautiful day, went to Hedo for breakfast, great
food, I love the fresh fruits. I think the food was better this year.

Finally got settled into our room, garden view-nude side. A change from
last year, we stayed on the prude side due to being to embarrassed to tell
our travel agent we wanted the nude side. As for the room, it was the same
except for the new air conditioner, the water pressure in the shower was
great although the varying temperature was just as bad. Spent most of the
day lounging around the hot tub, met many more Internet friends and got
better aquatinted. I think that's when we met the couple from New York,V&
B. They were the glue that held us together. They arranged to have tables
set up for us in the dinning room so we could all have dinner together each
night.

>From here it gets a little fuzzy, the days just kind of run together .
We would get up in the morning, have breakfast and lounge on the beach or
on floats in the water and watch all the activity on the beach. This was
life style week and there was a lot of sex going on. There were a lot more
people there at the resort then last year in February. The hot tub was
packed at night. Had to get there early to get a spot. I did discover the
whirlpool in the nude pool this year, Oh what a rush, I definitely recommend
trying it, I called it "who needs a man".

We always made it a point to be in the dinning room in time for lunch time
spin at 1:30. Had to get as many Hedo bucks as possible to purchase rum,
poker cards, and T shirts, although they ran out of T shirts the week we
were there. I really didn't care, I just wanted to play the games. I
especially liked " How well do you Know Your Mate" it's exactly like the
newly wed game. We found out some pretty juicy stuff about our friends.
(Hu Nibblet?) Body moves was good as well, I applaud the guy's that
participated in that. That one takes some nerve on the men's part. It's
where all the guys have to dance for the women sitting around the dance
floor,
it got pretty hot. Just for the record...I voted for Tomato. I liked the
cat thing he had going on. The entertainment staff was fantastic, they
kept us all amused and involved. I'm not sure which events happened on
which day, check the activity board in the dinning room and at the dive
shop. All events are posted there.

Tuesday was the catamaran cruise(thanks Denny) at 10:30am, It was not
very good due to the water being so ruff that day, by the time we returned
there were a lot of people sick. The snorkeling was OK, not as good as
last year. I took the snorkeling trip last year and they took us out to a
coral reef that was much better. When we got to the pickle parrot you
couldn't get off the boat because the water was slamming against the rocks
so hard it's was just to dangerous, although there were a few brave souls
that attempted it. Thank goodness no one got injured. I personally enjoyed
it, but I guess it was a little much for some of us. The ride in the net is
a must, it was like being in a washing machine only a lot more fun I'm
sure. Under better circumstances, I would recommend this excursion.

Tuesday night was PJ night, I'm still unsure what the winners were wearing,
I was in the DJ both with Tavis the entertainment coordinator for most of
it arranging a surprise for the bride and groom. They blind folded them
both, brought them out onto the stage, sat them in chairs, had the staff
members dance around them rubbing and touching them while the music played.
I hope they liked it. I know I did. We didn't stay long after that, the
disco is much to small, very hard to move around, we continued that party in
our room. That's all I have to say about that.

Wednesday was the day of the wedding. Started the same, with breakfast and
lounging on the beach, we treated ourselves to a message to help relieve
the anxiety of the wedding, Although it didn't work. I don't recommend the
massage it leaves a lot to be desired. .. After lunch time spin it was time
to rush off to our rooms to get ready for the ceremony . It was a beautiful
setting near the water with the boats in the back ground the weather was
perfect. Most of our Internet friends were there It was truly a special
day . After the wedding we had dinner at Pastafari's, it was oriental
night and everyone say's this is the night to make other arrangements for
dinner.I have to tell you about the jerk chicken and the red snapper served
at the nude pool grill, it is wonderful and the french fries are to die for,
they start serving around 6, so if you don't care for Italian this is a
good alternative. We ended up at Veronica's, for the night. A word of
caution, when Dave the piano player wants to get you, BEWARE...he will have
you take it off "piece by piece", as my husband found out this night. It
was hilarious, I never knew my husband was so talented. I must mention the
"Big Bamboo" what a fun song, Dave does a great job getting the audience
involved.

Then came Thursday, my poor husband was sick all day from to much
celebrating. Instead of going to noon time spin we decided to check out one
of the road side markets down the way from the resort. This is where the
locals sale souvenirs, hand carved wooden crafts, T shirts, and an
assortment of other things. Found some good deals there. By the time
dinner rolled around the hubby was good as new (almost) it was Toga night.
So many Toga's, like it say's in the book "Don't wear your mother's sheet",
I think the sheets they left us in the room where smaller this year. Had
some difficulty tying them. Should have watched the noon time spin, this is
the day they show you how to tie a Toga. Thanks to my husband we managed
to figure it out and had a great time at dinner checking out all the
creative Toga's. Entertainment was amateur night. We were among some very
talented people. Didn't stay for the Toga night parade, we decided to make a
mad dash to the hot tub before everyone got there to insure a good spot.

Friday was a gloomy day. Spent the day dreading having to leave. Spent
most of the day relaxing on the beach trying to absorb as much sun as
possible before returning to the ice and snow at home.

Friday night was the circus theme night for entertainment, I personally
didn't care for the show but the games on the beach were fun, fun,
fun..........although there was one guy from New York that took the games a
little to seriously. I didn't care if we won or lost, I just wanted to
play. I have to say the guy's from New York really made our trip
memorable, thanks goes out to Sasha and Tomato for, well they know what I
mean. They were the H.I.T. guys (Hedonites In Training ) and they were
such good student's.

Saturday, put our bags outside the door, got in the baggage check,
immigration, export tax line and waited, and waited, this man was so slow,
we spent most of the morning stading there in line. Finally got our bags
checked in time for lunch, got to eat one last meal in the dinning room.
No fun waiting on the bus but we had a wounderfull send off, thanks to moon
hill and our Hedo friends.

As for the weather, for the most part is was good, we had a couple of days
with overcast sky's and wind, a little rain one day but it didn't last long,

There were so many people that made our trip so special; The Canadian's
where a wild and crazy bunch, they kept us laughing all week. Some of the
girls sang a song from the Surprimes in the piano bar and I think they just
may have a future in the music business. No trip is complete with out a
Texas couple, and that brings me too M & L, thank you guys for being a
part of our vacation and keeping in touch. Then there's the couple from
N.C. , The Nibblet's, thanks for being such a good sport. And let's not
forget the couple from MN. Stay away from those brownies...he he.

A special thank you to Chris for writing the book about Hedo, and Tina for
loaning me her copy; HedoBob, Hunter 42 , Hedorick for supplying me with
much needed info on how to arrange a bachelorette party at Hedo., and
relieving my anxiety of the whole wedding ordeal.

Last but not least........Thank you Denny for this web site and all your
help.
