Hello Denny, I respectfully submit for your consideration the following report of my journey:

OCTOBER 00 - TOM (AKA Beavis)

The trip from the West coast took all night but I got into MoBay at 8:30 am and was in my room at Hedo by 11:00am. A good start.

Hurricanes were around so it rained for the first half of the week, just more time to explore indoor activities. Although kayaking and shuffleboard in the rain were fun.

Met up with Randy from Washington (a DennyP board contact) on the first day, also a first timer. We ended up sharing observations and fun though out the week. Yeah this was my first adventure to Hedo.

The Celebration of Body Arts People were also in for the week, a colorful group. It was fun getting to know some of them, interesting in a lot of ways. Being body art challenged myself I got to learn about the in's and out's of piercing from some of them.

During the week the activities coordinators somehow got me involved with a lot of their activities. I was in a couple of dance contests -- lost one because I didn't "Full Monty" but did become the "King of Rock n' Roll". For the Body in Motion event I ended up getting involved with Poke'mon during the action. Then for the Toga night my garb came out looking more Tongan then Roman. But it was all fun.

The Yorkshire film crew was there but I thought they added a slightly surreal (but fun) aspect to the week. As folks were enjoying themselves in different ways here was this polite, courteous English film crew going around trying to get some of it on film. It was like an on going subplot in a movie.

The week was excellent. It was fun getting to meet and enjoy so many so many great people.

So at the end of it all I had the typical solo traveler's regret, I didn't take many pictures of myself. Perhaps another reason to return.
