Trip
Report for Terry & Jo, May 2000
Last
year Terry wrote our trip report, but he is making me do it as punishment for
being so bad while we were there this year!!!
What
can you say about a trip to paradise?
Last year we made the mistake of only booking 4 nights and I cried all
the way home, so this year we booked 8 nights and I didn’t want to leave,
but I was in better spirits this time.
We
left our house at 4:30 a.m. on May 2.
We took the bus from MoBay and met a great couple coming to Hedo to be
married (The Smith’s, yea right!!). Arrived
at Hedo and of course our room was not ready, so we ate and went to the nude
pool and waited. Three hours
later we were told that we were being bumped to the prude side until Thursday
as all rooms were full. I am
afraid my redheaded temper got the better of me as last year we got bumped to
the Lido the first day and the prude side the second day and we were only
there 4 nights!! Miraculously
they found us a nude garden in the H-section the next day.
I had people walk up to me all day and pat me on the back for standing
my ground! Tonight was the PJ
party and we dressed and went, but it was too hot, too crowded and we couldn’t
get to the bar, so we did not
stay long. Rene-your serpent
costume should have won, it was the best there.
You was robbed!
Wednesday,
May 3 we moved to the nude side and had a wonderful room in the H-section with
lots of our friends there. Our
room was the one with the daily cartoon.
From
there is was beach, pool, hot tub
and purple rains, beach, pool, hot tub, purple rains, etc.
We started out the week going to the main dining room for lunch and the
lunch time spins, but as the week progressed couldn’t seem to get the energy
to dress so ate the wonderful food at Robert’s and stayed in the pool.
We did manage to nap every afternoon so we could stay late at the hot
tub.
Thursday,
May 4 was my birthday and it was a great day.
Thank you Marc (the Sizzla) for making it more special by having almost
sex with me in the dining room at lunch!!!
Hmmm, nice buns! This
was also Toga night which was a lot of fun.
We were told by several people that night that we should have won the
couple's category with our brought from home matching togas, but we did not.
Saturday
was the Smith’s wedding and we put clothes on and attended. It was at the
point and they were all dressed beautifully.
They shared their wedding day with another couple, Ken & TyAnn, and
it was beautiful. It sprinkled
just a little bit during the wedding, but once we were in Veronica’s for the
reception the sky opened up and rained for a couple of hours. Fortunately we had wonderful people there and plenty of
champagne, so we didn’t mind the rain.
Sunday
was Elvis and we loved it, we danced for hours. Even Ed and Kathy got up and danced. By the way everyone pitch in and help Elvis with the Rising
Hope Foundation.
Monday
was Pastafari’s with Ed, Kathy and Roger for Kathy’s birthday.
The food and company were excellent.
By
Tuesday most of our friends went home and we were left by ourselves for a
short while, but there is always somebody there to meet and have fun with.
We consoled ourselves by taking the nude cruise and having a ball.
I even went down the slide twice, obviously I had more rum punch then I
realized as I pushed off on the way down and almost went over the edge on the
way down. On my return try the
lady in charge made me sit as she instructed me “do not push off this
time." The next time down
was much slower and less eventful
and Terry was even able to get my picture.
We did not do PJ Nite as we just weren’t up to it again.
So we did Karaoke at Veronica’s and had a good time.
Wednesday
was our last day. We set out our
luggage, gave some gifts to the staff and made our way to the nude pool to
drown our sorrows. Special thanks
to the wonderful couple who made our last hour special-yes we did make the bus
on time, fortunately they were running on Jamaican time as usual!!!
Our
only complaints were all the prostitutes hanging around fully dressed at the
pool and the hot tub, they seemed to be in abundance this year, and the frozen
drink machine and beer dispenser missing from the hot tub.
We had to make that long trek to the main dining room to fill up our
containers.
We
made some great friends during the week…..
Rick
and Cindy kept the party going. (Sorry
we missed the dice game!)
Rene’
and Wayne, you two will always have a special place in our hearts.
Ed
& Kathy, Ed I still laugh out loud when I think of you and all the fun we
had. I hope your friend
appreciates the picture we posed for. I
will always remember the toe sucking!
Roger,
enjoyed all of our conversations. Hope
to see you there again sometime.
Bob
& Janette, I really enjoyed meeting you two, I know you will have a great
life together.
Cliff
(Butt Crack Jr.) and his beautiful lady, I know you will become a regular at
Hedo just like your folks.
Jeanie
the tattoo lady, your soul and mine have met somewhere in the past I am sure
of it.
Also,
Herb & Pam, Phyllis & Dean, Linda & Dave, Julie & Bob and Mike
the cop who streaked the dining room every lunch and dinner and finally did go
home and numerous other people we met, but the alcohol has softened my brain
and DIF has set in and I cannot remember their names at the moment!!!!
