Sombrero J & Audrey - 07/00

Hedonism II trip report

July 27-30, Negril, Jamaica

Audrey and I have discussed Hedo for two years.  For two years we have read Denny's site and within that two years we had visited Negril and bypassed Hedo.  As is probably a common experience, it sounded like a place that I wanted to go and a place that she was not sure if she wanted to go.  For our yearly Negril trip we could originally only get away three days and chose to go to Firefly on the Negril beach for our stay.  Firefly bills itself as an "au natural" resort and seemed to be a place to relax.

Well, about a month before our trip, we found out that we could stay an extra day.  To my dismay, Audrey called me at work and said "let's book Hedo for part of our trip."  I was flabbergasted.  But as surprised as I might have been, I called Go Classy Tours and booked the trip within minutes of hanging up with her.

Went up to Chicago the night before our trip with only lunch sacks for luggage (small carry-on each) and a blender to make "island drinks" with.  We used drink recipes from this site and Chris Santilli's book (The Naked Truth About Hedonism II) to indulge ourselves in our hotel, to near oblivion, the night before our flight.  The next day we were up at 4:00 am to catch our flight.  We made a couple of "drinks" for the road and off to O'Hare airport (left blender in car at hotel for those of you wondering).

Trip to MoBay uneventful.  Flight to Negril cancelled so "no problem" hopped another flight with a different airline. We started our trip out at Firefly and you can see a trip report from that elsewhere on this website.  Two mornings later after a fun trip at Firefly we were at Hedo by 10:00 am.  I sincerely thought that arriving so early we would have to wait for our rooms.  Believe it or not the room was ready and we were checked in immediately.  Walked over to lunch buffet but it was closed until noon.  Oh well, I guess off to the nude pool.

We dropped our things in our room and then walked the beach to the nude pool.  We were still clothed.  We each had a shot of tequila then off with everything.  Within two minutes of our arrival Audrey had already made several friends.  If you have ever met the kind of person that speaks with a country accent and immediately puts you at ease and makes you feel like you've known them for a lifetime . . . that is my wife.  By the time I had hopped in the pool behind her and gotten my naked ass wet, Audrey had already met and knew the names of about six people.

The next 12 hours consisted of several shots (woo woo and tequila) and at least a couple dozen frozen drinks for each of us.  We all congregated in the hot tub during a long thunderstorm with at least a dozen of our naked closest friends (all people who we had just met). Before we knew it we had actually been in the pool or hot tub or grotto for about 10 hours straight without ever leaving the area.  When we were finally kicked out of the pool for cleaning (about 8:30 pm) we took the party (still nude of course) to the prude hot tub.  Later we would go to the disco and back to the hot tub.

If we thought we enjoyed the first day, the second day was near a spiritual experience.  We have traveled far and wide and are truly a party couple when we get out of our professional lives and away from the kids.  We have never EVER had as much fun as our second day at Hedo.  The only things that we can clearly remember are: nakedness, dildos, blow up dolls, a "shy" single guy who was hung 10 inches flaccid being chased by my wife with a 10 inch dildo, funny conversation and outrageous antics.

The next day, which was our last, was low key but again fun.  We flew back to Chicago at about 5:00 pm.

Now, I feel the need to answer questions that I know some of you potential newbies may have.

SEX:  Yes, there are swingers at Hedo.  While we were there they were very active and pubic sex during the daylight was rampant throughout the day.  BUT this was only about 5-10% of all couples there.  They were not aggressive and generally reasonable people.  A firm "no" will give them the message and they won't treat you with any disdain.  The other 90% of couples there (which includes us) were having good "clean", albeit adult, fun.  Everyone is friendly and everyone at Hedo can find a niche, which is comfortable to them.  And besides the swingers, Hedo is a place where faithful couples can indulge fantasies in public or private without ridicule (but usually with encouragement) from others.  There is a fantasy for every couple at Hedo to be explored.  To put it in plain language Hedo is Fantasy Island.  No sex police to be seen.

Food: Average but what do you expect at summer camp for adults.

Clientele:  Doctors, lawyers, successful entrepreneurs, teachers, other professionals of all types, pipefitters, hairdressers, insurance brokers, hospital administrators, retirees.  You name it, they were there.  Ages ranged from 25 to 65 with average age of about 40. We are 35. One couple in our nucleus of friends was 65 and retired from farming in the Midwest.  They had never had a vacation before but you better believe that they participated and had a great time in much of the poolside "activities."  There is a place for everyone at Hedo.

Amenities: surprisingly comfortable.  From previous trip reports we were expecting something much worse.  Our garden view au natural room rivaled that of first class American hotels.

Service: possibly non-existent.  We did not go to Hedo for first class service. Hedo does not market service.  For service go next door to Grand Lido.  For fun like you have never had it go to Hedo.

Lastly, many thanks to all of those who made Hedo a life-changing experience: Kevin and Shannon, Dean and Kathy, Cindy and Todd, Joel and Jennifer, Bill and Yvonne, Mike and Marcella, Dan and Tammy, Martin and Vera and all whom we may have not mentioned.
