Trip report for 9/30 thru 10/8

From: Randy (From Washington State)

I can honestly say that I looked forward to this trip more than I have any trip in the recent past. I spent a fair amount of time on the Dennyp board and it was very helpful. As a first time visitor and a single guy as well, I found Hedo to be pretty much what I expected with a few exceptions.

First, the trip from the Northwest is a real bear. More that any other single thing, the trip itself will make it less likely I would return very often to Hedo. Including drive time and a stop for food, I was traveling better than 18 hours to get to Hedo. And the trip back was almost as bad. (And an entire team of Seattle University women's soccer players giggling and shrieking for like 5 hours on the way home didn't help.)

Second, upon arrival, I was surprised to find out that the celebration of body art folks were at Hedo for the week. While for the most part these folks were really nice, I am just not a fan of piercing and disfigurement in general. And while I think people should decorate themselves any way they want, I do not find large garish tattoos attractive. With almost 150 members in the body art group, it was hard to get much going in the resort when they were off doing their own thing. There were several events during the course of the week that non-body art folks were not invited to participate in. I would probably avoid going to Hedo during this week in the future. You could see a marked difference in the people and the improved energy level as the Lifestyle group started arriving at the end of the week.

Other than that, I really had a pretty good time. I had a birthday on the second day. I took second in the bondage category on PJ night but was out getting a drink when they announced the winners. I have to admit that the gal who took first was built more like an Anaconda than any human I have ever seen. And she could writhe like she had no spine at all............ and I mean that in a good way...........

The event coordinators were great, but seemed like they had trouble rallying the troops at times. Especially if the body art folks were separated off. Jamaica grows some beautiful young folks and they are well represented in the staff. Marie was my personal favorite, but obviously, I am a leg man. And my hat is off to the dinner staff as well. The food was great pretty much every meal. I think I put on like 10 pounds in Jamaica. Of course the non-stop beverage service didn't help with that........

As a single guy at Hedo, I never felt like an outcast or outsider in any way. But if I go back, I will take a gal. This place is set up for couples. The air is sexually charged and it would have been much nicer to share the experience with someone.

My room mate Wally, was a good guy, so I lucked out there. I would also say that meeting up with Tom (AKA Bevis) through Denny's site was great. A complete wild man for an "old guy". Although, I thought we might have to set up a M.A.S.H. unit at some point considering his injury history....... It was a sad day when the announcement was made that "Bevis has left the building..." Liz from Wales (and the related film crew...) was great as well. I was proud of Rhonda for "growing" at least a little during the course of the week. A very pretty conservative girl with a great southern accent..... And to the New York girls (you know who you are...) thanks for the "disco time.."

So that's about it. Go to Hedo, but take someone adventurous with you.

Best wishes to all. Randy
