David & Kim - 03/00

March 24 – 31
Before we begin our trip report, we feel it is important to provide a little bio. We are both 31 years old and have been married for 12 years. We have 5 children and live a “normal” (reserved) American life. I (David) work in a computer consulting firm and she (Kim) is an at home mom.

This was our first trip to Hedo. For several months, we read Denny’s message boards, trip reports and went to chat. We also e-mailed and corresponded with several other couples that were going to be there the same time we were going. Like many Hedo virgins, we were not sure what to expect or how we would handle different situations. We had never been nude in front of anyone else or been in such an erotic place. We will not share everything we saw, did or heard about during our trip out of respect to others. What happens at Hedo stays at Hedo. If you are bored by blow-by-blow descriptions in trip reports, then this one may not be for you. It is our intention to provide a trip report for all the Hedo virgins out there who aren’t quite sure what to expect.

Day One – The Arrival
On day one, we left home for our airport at 6:00 A.M. Our flight was on Air Jamaica departing from BWI. The plane had limited leg room but the service was very good. AJ called the flight a Champagne flight. They served a full breakfast and beverages of your choice (alcoholic, soft drinks or juice). They also showed a movie. We arrived in Montego Bay around noon. We went through immigration and customs with no problem and found our way to the Super Clubs desk and told them we were there. The airport was not what we were used to. It was not very appealing and it was very hectic. People were everywhere. Fortunately, our travel agent called us the night before we left and gave us tips on navigating through the airport. (A NOTE: We were offered ganga at least 6 times while in the airport) We chose to take the bus to Hedo rather than a Tim Air or Air Jamaica Express flight. We really wanted to see the land of Jamaica and its culture first hand. The bus ride was exactly how many described it, A RIDE FROM HELL. Jamaicans drive on the left hand side of the road. The bus ride took us through several little villages (towns) as we winded our way around the coast to Negril. The conditions of the roads were horrible. In some areas it very bumpy and in others the road seemed nonexistent. There were a few areas that were smoothly paved. As we went through the small villages the streets were so full of people and vehicles it was a miracle no one got hit. Our driver drove like he had a death wish. Often times while we were passing vehicles with others were headed straight toward us. At the last minute our driver would swerve to miss them. Along the ride, we were able to see first hand the way Jamaicans lived and was well worth the fright.

We finally arrived at Hedo around 2:00 P.M. Our room wasn’t quite ready so they invited us to have lunch and return to the front desk afterward. After lunch we returned to the front desk and were taken off to our room on the back of a little pick-up like truck. Our room was in the H block. The room was exactly as we had anticipated, a big mirror on the wall, a big mirror on the ceiling and tile everywhere. There were a few problems with the room. The safe did not have a cylinder for the key, the iron was missing and the big umbrella light didn’t work. We notified the front desk of the problems and they were going to take care of them. We guess they are still thinking about it, but who cares. I would suspect the same problems would be there next year. We decided none of these problems were a big deal, so we didn’t bother complaining. The water pressure was very good although the temperature fluctuated every time someone flushed the toilet or turned on a sink. Just learn to adjust with it.
Given the day had already been full of excitement, we decided to take a short nap. We got up in time to go eat dinner. Since we left five kids back home, Kim felt it necessary to call and say we made it ok. She tried to use our new International AT&T calling card 5 times and it never worked. We ended up calling collect. Hedo charges $3.00 for each outside line connection you make from the room. At dinner, we immediately ran into a couple (Kevin and Britt) we met over from Denny P’s visitor list and had dinner with them. Daily e-mail exchanges with them had become a norm as our Hedo trip approached. That night, during dinner, we watched the Circus show. The entertainment coordinators are very talented and put on a hell of a performance. After the Circus, we went down to the prude beach for the beach games. We were so in awe of the fact we were in Jamaica at Hedo that we didn’t participate; we stood back and watched all the fun. Next, it was a quick walk to Veronica’s Piano Bar and then over to the disco. We stayed pretty much in the common areas, building up enough courage to venture down to the nude side (where our room was). Finally, we started our nervous but exciting walk to the nude side. As we passed H block we ran into another couple (Bob and Cindy) we had met from Denny’s message boards. They had arrived a few days before u and were returning from the hot tub. He had nothing on but a towel around his neck and she had a towel wrapped around her. We stood there and exchanged pleasantries for a few minutes. This was the first time we saw nudity at Hedo. The exchange was so casual that it made us very comfortable. That was enough for the first day so we headed back over to the main beach to get a cheeseburger from the grill and went off to bed. We hit the bed around 2:30 A.M.

Day Two – The First Day Nude
We woke up around 8:30 A.M., showered and went to breakfast. We again ran into Bob and Cindy and spent some time chatting with them. Then we saw Kevin and Britt and chatted some more. Kim and I decided it was time to experience the nude side. We went to the room to change clothes, get the towels and sunscreen. Like many Hedo virgin males, I was scared of getting on the nude beach, seeing naked women running around everywhere and getting a “woodie”. So, to try and counteract any stimulation, we applied sunscreen to one another in our room before heading to the beach. When we got there we chose a few chaise lounges and then it was time to get naked. I quickly dropped my shorts (so as not to be mistaken as a Vinnie). Kim took things a bit slower. She took off her bikini top and tried to hide her breast until she realized nobody was staring or surprised. To all the Hedo virgin couples, if your lady is nervous let her get nude at her own pace. No one on the nude beach seemed to care if a woman had on a bikini or not.

We laid on the beach for the next several hours, every once in a while muscling up the courage to go and get a drink from Delroy’s. Next we went to the nude grill, got lunch and ate in the pool. While in the pool we were introduced to Armon and Mary Jo who we also corresponded with through e-mail a few times. We chatted with them for a while and then headed back to the room for a nap. The Caribbean sun is very, very hot and draining. We woke up and headed to have dinner with our new friends, Kevin and Britt. As I said, we had sent allot of e-mail to one another and were very comfortable with one each other. We watched the nighttime show (had people singing and forgot what it was called) and then went to the piano bar. At the piano bar we sat around, drank and sung along with everyone. We then decided it was time to experience the nude hot tub. We had an idea of what we might see there. The hot tub was not crowded this night. There were maybe 16 people in it. Feeling a bit excited from the days activities, Kim sat on my lap in the hot tub and we proceeded to kiss and hug one another. When, to our displeasure, it was time to meet a Vinnie. A middle-aged guy came from one side of the hot tub to the other and parked his ass right next to mine. If I had moved we would have bumped shoulders. We did our best to ignore him, however when Kim opened her eyes after a kiss he was staring at her licking his lips, which was enough. We let that ruin our feeling of being comfortable in the hot tub at night. In retrospect, we shouldn’t have let that incident make us feel the way we did. What made the experience all more unpalatable was the fact that an older gentleman who was also in the hot tub intentionally moved away from us to provide room. He watched from a distance as we did our playing (which was fine). We left the hot tub and went to the main dining hall for a late night snack and headed off to bed.

Day Three – Elvis is Alive
Day three started at 8:00 A.M., but it took until 10:30 to get out of the room. We missed the hot breakfast so we ended up having pastries and coffee. Then it was back to the nude beach for sunning and hanging out with our new friends. No need to put sunscreen on in the room. We grabbed the sunscreen, the towels and headed to the beach. We floated on rafts in the ocean for a while and went to the grill to get lunch. We ate lunch in the nude pool and relaxed with our new friends for the next few hours. We met Mike and Peg. They were at Hedo for their first time as well. Well, another hot day on the beach took its toll and we went back to the room for a nap before dinner. We were suppose to meet Kevin and Britt at 8:00 for dinner but didn’t wake up until 8:15. Oh Shit! We rushed our shower and got to the main hall at 8:45. Fortunately, Kevin and Britt went ahead and had dinner while waiting for us. During dinner we watch the Elvis impersonator and the oldies dance contest. Kevin and Britt danced in the oldies dance contest and got a certificate for being party animals along with a few Hedo Bucks. After the main showcase we went over to Veronica’s to hang out a while. At the piano bar we ran into Mike and Peg and also saw Bob and Cindy and Armon and Mary Jo. Again, we sang along and had a blast. Kevin and Britt decided to head to the hot tub and invited us to join them. We weren’t quite up to that after our first experience there. We went back to the room so Kim could change and then went on a nature walk through Hedo’s jungle. Our walk through the jungle took until 2:00 so we went back to the room. Did they leave that towel on the picnic table for us? Kim finally got around to unpacking. I guess she is planning on staying.

Day Four – A Day of Recovery
Another morning that started early, 8:00 A.M. We went to breakfast at 9:30. Kim has suddenly developed a desire to drink as much orange juice as she can (what do they put in that stuff?). We were both sort of burned from spending the day on the beach on Day Three and decided to just fool around doing other stuff. We walked through the gift shops (there are 4) and looked around. We also played Ping Pong for a while. Kim really sucks at Ping Pong J. Finally, Mike and Peg came by. Mike took the paddle to play Ping Pong with me while Kim and Peg went back to the gift shop so Kim could try on a sundress. The morning was gone so we went back over to the dining hall for lunch and to watch the Wet T Shirt contest and Bodies in Motion. This is a show not to be missed! We left after the show and took a nap. After we woke up we went down to the point on the nude beach to catch the sunset.

That evening we again had dinner with Kevin and Britt. The main showcase featured reggae dance lessons and a dance contest. Somehow the entertainment coordinators decided it was time to get us involved. Chubby pulled Kim onto the dance floor and gave her lessons on moving her hips. When the dance lessons started Kim and I ended up taking them. Kim had decided to wear a mini skirt without underwear that night and getting on the floor doing the air hump (or whatever that is called) was a bit much for her. She snuck off the dance floor and left me to dance in the competition. We’ll just say I didn’t win, but we had allot of fun. Kim couldn’t believe that I was actually doing that and missed the opportunity to take pictures.
We then headed off to our favorite nighttime hangout, Veronica’s. It was karaoke night and didn’t seem very fun (it was early and we understand it became much more entertaining as the party got into swing) so we went over to the disco. We hung out there for a few minutes and then decided to go for a walk on the beach. We sat on the beach and snuggled a while (ok we more than snuggled). Suddenly something with four legs came running up the beach. What the hell is that, a pig, a goat? No, it was a dog. We hadn’t seen any dogs in Jamaica up to that point so it was kind of surprising. A security guard and another guy came chasing behind the dog. The dog decided to run back toward the prude beach and they chased after it. This was just a strange disruption that proved to be a very fun night on the beach. We headed back to the room. Kim painted a rock with our names on it as I fell asleep. The night came to an end around 2:30 A.M.

Day Five – The PJ Party
We woke up late again. Who cares about alarm clocks! We strolled up to breakfast around 10:00 and ended up having pastries and fruit again. After taking a break from the beach the day before we decided to go back there. It was a cloudy and rainy day and got chilly on the beach. We headed up to try out the hot tub in the daylight. We met another couple in the hot tub (Mike and Laurie). We sat around and chatted with them for a while until it was lunchtime. The lunchtime spin was a fashion show put on by the entertainment coordinators. The majority of the show was boring until they did the S&M fashion. All of the waiting was definitely worth it. After the show we decided to go back to the room, grab our stuff and head to the beach. We got side tracked when in the room. Needless to say, housekeeping showed up while we were a little busy. The lesson to learn from this is to put the chain on the door if you don’t want someone to walk in. Anyhow, everyone got a good laugh from the incident, the housekeeper went and cleaned another room and we went to the beach. As the days have flown by Kim has gotten much more comfortable with being nude. Today, she removed her bottoms. Damn, did she look good! We hung out on the beach until it was time for poolside bingo. We sat next to the cold hot tub (cool pool) and couldn’t hear a number that was called. But, we were surrounded by good people and had fun anyway.

After bingo we decided to take a nap. It was going to be a long night since it was the PJ party. We woke up and had dinner around 7:30. It was lobster night and the chefs did a fantastic job grilling them up. The main showcase was the Battle of the Sexes. This was a riot to watch. We headed down to get on our PJ’s and go to the disco. We spent hours and hours trying to find just the right PJ’s to wear to the party, something that wouldn’t be too revealing but also wouldn’t be to bland. That was a waste of time (although a fun part of preparing for the trip). Pick something you like and take it. People wear everything from silk and satin to leather and chains to flannel. It doesn’t matter what you wear or don’t wear. Just go and have fun. There were allot of single guys standing around ogling at all the couples and a few that were just too obnoxious for our tastes. We left right before the competition judging happened. We were more than happy to entertain ourselves for the rest of the evening.

Day Six – The Wedding
We had to rise early. Today, Kevin and Britt were getting married on the beach and we were the Best Man/Matron of Honor and witnesses. We actually set the alarm clock. Up at 8:00 A.M. and at breakfast. We went back to the room around 9:45 A.M. to start getting ready for the wedding that was to start at 11:00 A.M. Sheww, we made on time, even a little early. The minister and photographer arrived around 11:20. Kevin and Britt were simply stunning. The wedding was on the nude beach (the wedding party members were clothed). Given the delay in the start of the wedding it was hilarious to watch all the invited guests scramble to get on clothes when we arrived on the beach. There were body parts flapping everywhere and people dancing into their clothes. The wedding was beautiful. Afterward, we went to the game room where we all signed the legal documents and had a small reception. Then, like in the states, the photographer took over. He marched us all over Hedo’s grounds, taking pictures among the foliage and flowers. We were very hot so I can’t imagine how hot Kevin and Britt must have been fully dressed in a suit and wedding dress respectively. None of us could wait to get out of our clothes and jump in the pool. That is exactly what we did at our first opportunity.

We had lunch from the grill and sat around the pool for the next several hours. There was a guy at the pool who clearly had too much of something and was stumbling around. Everyone in the pool watched him carefully, partly for the entertainment value and partly to make sure he didn’t tumble and hurt himself or someone else. On the beach next to Delroy’s a group of people were playing find your mate. That was fun to watch.

Kevin and Britt invited us to join them for dinner at Pastafari’s. We met them at 7:00 P.M. and enjoyed a nice dinner. Anyone going to Hedo for the first time should eat there at least once. It is very different than the buffet style served in the main dining room. I had Spaghetti Checca for dinner and Kim had Caribbean Shrimp. After dinner we went back to the room so Kim could change out of her fancy clothes before we went to the Piano Bar. Kim began felling real hot and had a stomachache around 11:00 so we went back to the room to bed. The next morning we learned that several people who had the Caribbean Shrimp that night felt the same way. The next trip to Hedo, that meal won’t be on our list.

Day Seven – Toga Night
Our trip is winding down. This was our last full day and night at Hedo. We arrived at the main dining hall around 9:15 and got our normal hot breakfast. Kim decided she wanted to have her hair braided so we went to the prude beach and found the Jamaican woman who does the braiding. Kim has long hair (about 2/3 down her back) and the price started out at $70 but Kim bartered it down to $50. Maybe a good deal, maybe not. The important thing was that she wanted to have her hair braided and did. She was now my Jamaican Princess. J The braiding took about 2 hours. I went back to the room and relaxed while she had it done. Kim came back to the room when she was finished and retrieved me. Then we went shopping for souvenirs. It was then time for the lunchtime spin. Today was the men’s chance to strut their stuff and participate in the Bodies in Motion competition. The toga tying demonstration followed the competition. If you have never tied a toga make sure you go to the demonstration.

I knew this was our last full day and was determined we were not going to spend it away from the nude side. We needed to get down on the beach and spend some more time on it. We laid on the beach until 6:30 and then went back to the room to shower and prepare our togas. I wore my toga with a Roman tie and Kim wore hers with a tail (Peacock style). We certainly were not the best tied, but they did stay up at least. We have ran around nude for a week, but somehow wearing just a sheet to dinner felt very weird! Kim and Britt did have a chance to tease me a Kevin a little (won’t tell that story here). We stayed for the toga parade and party and returned to the room around midnight.

We wanted to gather our things together and pack up since the luggage had to be outside the door by 9:00 A.M. After packing we put on clothes and went to Veronica’s. The Piano Bar was empty so we came back to the room and debated on going to the hot tub or just for a walk. We opted for the walk. We went out on the cove of the nude beach for a while and just enjoyed the peace and tranquility. It got a little bit chilly so we continued our walk, trying to remember where that hammock was that we saw while on the trip of the grounds with the wedding photographer. We found the hammock that is right outside the H block and enjoyed a swing on it. Kim had hammock marks on her ass that let everyone know where we had been. We ended the night around 3:00 A.M.

Day Eight – Depression Sets In
Is it really coming to an end? What a bummer! We woke up around 8:00 A.M., made sure we didn’t forget anything and put the bags outside the door. Check out time is at noon, but your bags need to be outside by 9:00 A.M. Our bus to Montego Bay did not leave until 3:00 P.M. so we got to enjoy the majority of the day. We stored our carry on luggage in Kevin and Britt’s room and then went to breakfast. We checked out at the main desk, which meant handing them the room key and settling the one phone call we made. Next we had to meet the Air Jamaica representative. She took care of checking in our luggage and preparing our boarding passes. It took about an hour or so for her to finalize all of the departing guests, but well worth it since it eliminated all of the processes at the airport. The next time we saw our luggage was back at BWI. Around noon we scampered to the nude beach and onto a couple floats to enjoy our last few hours of wicked paradise. We went into the nude pool for our last time and spend it with Kevin and Britt. We sat in the pool until 2:00 P.M., said all of our goodbyes and went back to Kevin and Britt’s room to shower and put on clothes.

We ate lunch and climbed into the bus. The driver was much better than the one that took us to Hedo. At one point in one of the little villages a tractor-trailer was parked on the right hand side of the road that only left enough space for one vehicle to get by. Our bus driver (who was in the correct lane) continued to drive until another bus pulled in front of us. Both refused to move. Our driver slowly inched our bus forward until it was front bumper to front bumper with the other one. We sat for what seemed to be five minutes until the other bus backed up and got out of the way. As I said, this driver was very good. He knew the road conditions along the way very well and made the trip back very enjoyable. Our only complaint was that he stopped 4 or 5 times on the way to the airport for no apparent reason and without being asked by the passengers. His persistent stopping was a bit creepy. When we got to the airport it was a simple process of climbing out of the bus, going through security, finding our gate and waiting for our plane. The departure lounge of the airport is much nicer than the arrivals section. The plane departed on time and was a smooth, but dark ride back to the states. We enjoyed an in-flight dinner and a movie (The Haunting, how weird on an airplane) and landed at BWI around 9:45 P.M. U.S. Customs was a breeze and we were in the van on the way home.

The Day After – DIF Sets In
Dreaded Island Fever (DIF) begins to set in. We picked up all of the children the night we returned home. It is difficult to adjust. We don’t want to wear clothes, don’t want to see or hear the TV or hear the phone ring. We just want to be nude on the beach at Hedo! Friends and family have been by to welcome us back and hear about the trip. We watched the video of the wedding. Kim went to have the pictures developed since we were dieing to look at them. Uh Oh! Kim left her fancy skirt and dress in the closet. I guess the housekeeper got a gift for the interruption. We are already planning a return trip to Hedo for this calendar year. Next time we will be there for 10 nights and 11 days, taking advantage of the three free nights. Well, at least we have that to look forward to!

A Few Final Thoughts and Comments
Hedo isn’t for everyone. If you are in a difficult relationship that is riddled by jealousy, you might want to try Couples or Grand Lido. Kim was checked out and hit on by several guys. Even the male entertainment coordinators were a bit playful. Talk about how to react when these things happen before you go and agree on how to handle them. Kim can be quite jealous at times but never raised an eyebrow if I just had to take a second look at someone or hugged a naked woman. We were very into one another. That was clear to us and everyone else.

Discussing these situations before you leave can be difficult since you don’t exactly know what will happen. We played many things by ear and had enough faith in one another that whatever happened would be ok.
Hedo is an adult playground filled with allot of socializing and sexual innuendo. Kim and I are not swingers. We did however meet and hangout with a few and that was not a problem.

Sex happens but not usually blatantly. We had to look to find open sex going on. There are times that stimulation occurs so expect to see it.

During the time we were at Hedo, there seemed to be allot of single men and women. If you want to be around couples more than singles, check with your travel agent on the best times of the year to go.

If you need a travel agent, give Buddy at Go Classy a call. They were terrific and handled everything for us.

Become involved in what you want to. We did. We were never pressured by anyone to do anything. Be as Wild or Wicked as you choose and don’t worry about.

Finally, respect others! It doesn’t matter who or what you are, treat others with the respect and love you want to be treated with.
