A First Timer's Report - Elyse & Tim

HEDONISM II----------FIRST-TIMERS REPORT

Let's start this trip report BEFORE the trip....................

When we made reservations at Hedonism, we didn't know much about it. We
wanted to go on an all-inclusive vacation and the travel agent gave us MANY
brochures to look at. After reading them all we realized the pictures
looked pretty much the same but the prices were very different. Soooo....
we went on line to see what we could find out. Going onto TRAVEL sites at
least showed us something different, a nightly itinerary. We booked
HEDONISM.
Someone suggested we go on-line and try to find personal sites about
Hedo, and that we did. Denny's site gave us a much more in-depth look at
HEDO and our excitement rose. We listed ourselves on the visitor schedule
and dropped Denny a note. He wrote back with some tips, and we also got a
note form a couple off the visitor schedule who were going the same week as
us and who were also first timers.
We soon found other sites with pictures and realized we were in for a
fun/wild time. No problem mon, we can handle it. We started planning for
the P.J. night and Toga night, and continued to correspond with our new
friends Steve & Tina. About two weeks prior to going we e-mailed each other
EVERYDAY!!!
HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.............................
SUNDAY
The flight was great, no time at all. Taking the bus from the airport to
Hedo, and seeing the area, humbled me and made me appreciate that YES I was
going to a resort and how lucky we are.
We knew we wouldn't be getting there until 5:00pm so we counted out the
first day.
We were wrong, very wrong! Upon our arrival, Diva met us with a smile and a
drink.
A bit of paperwork to fill out and sure, I'll have another. Surprise,
surprise, they asked Tim if we wanted to be nudists and switched our room
to the nude side. Now I hope nobody gets upset with that. Our room was on
the end, across from the disco by the dining room. We figured true nudists
wouldn't want to be right there and they probably give it away. We never
found out why we got it but hey it all worked out, because it was closer to
the nude beach!!!
The room was just fine. Since it was our first time we decided to go to
the welcome party. A cute little ice-breaker complete with music and games
where you must get physical with other people. Guess who won? Me and some
Texas dude. All excited I told my name through the microphone and waited
for a t-shirt I didn't get. That's okay, I'll have another drink.
Okay feeling well enough to just go take a look-see at the nude area. Walking up to it in clothes, all eyes were on us. Were we first timers? Gawkers? Well when in Rome!!! No problem mon!! Tim asked me who I was? He wasn't quite sure he knew me. At least he didn't know I could disrobe so fast. Hopefully they'll have a quick-undress game, I can win again! We got in the huge Jacuzzi and immediately we were in conversation with some nice folks, funny, we walked the prude beach and not a hello. I took the advice from someone's website and didn't want to overdo the alcohol. Yes it is all free and will be there all week.
Tim threw his suit and a t-shirt on, I my suit and a towel and we went to
dinner. Is it only 9:00. Soon I felt out of place in my suit and towel.
Everyone was casual but I felt disrespectful. Went to put a t-shirt on. We
made conversation with a single fellow who wanted us to model for him. No
thanks. We watched the show which was local talent and thought they were
pretty good. Back to the nude Jacuzzi. Wanted to stay up to get a look-see
at the late night crowd but just couldn't make it.
Monday--
Breakfast buffet, my favorite meal and oh, they have my international
delight creamer, this is heaven!! I expected that if you leave the United
States you can't expect all the luxuries of home but you don't know how I
loooove my creamer.
Anyway, to the nude beach, look at that water!!!! More conversation with nice people. A dip in the cold pool and an offer to swap. No thanks. And the conversation didn't end, which made me feel good. I thought if we turned people down we would get the cold shoulder. They have to ask to find out and if you say no well, that's okay too. Our Internet friends will be here, let's leave a message of hello at the front desk. More laying around, ahhhh. Let me just say here that one of my apprehensions before going was that I was afraid I might get bored. I'm not a beach person. Tim asked" Do you want to go Kayaking?" No, not just yet. "Do you want to go sailing?"
Maybe tomorrow. A nap before dinner and then Let's Eat!!! Sitting by the
dining room we saw them approach. Steve & Tina. Well hello. It was like
seeing old friends. A hug and a handshake and to the nude pool. Tina was a
little nervous but we assured her that we had no problem getting nude and neither would she. Well some people just need a little longer. Denny was absolutely telling the truth when he said there is all shapes and sizes. A fashion show it wasn't but the friendliness was everywhere. Couldn't make it up for the late night antics but there's always tomorrow.

Tuesday--
Breakfast with our friends. I'm glad P.J. night is tonight because I'm not
going to fit into my tiny outfit by the end of the week. I like food and
it's everywhere at just about anytime. We had the buffet in the dining room,
there was a special breakfast on the nude side for nude week, there were
grills on each beach during the day plus a lunch buffet, and a dinner
buffet. We thought there was going to be midnight buffets but we didn't see
any. We also had a number in our room called "snak-attack" between the hours
of 2-8am but we never utilized it. believe me, there was enough to eat!!
Grabbed a couple of snorkels and beached it for the day. They have a
snorkel trip but for today we went right off the beach and there were
beautiful fish to look at right there. Tim upturned some rocks and found
starfish. Tina still has her bottoms on but nobody seemed to mind. The zoo
crew didn't blow their whistles. They were a group of friendly folk who
quickly turned unfriendly when clothing clad people walked by. They made it
clear that this was a NUDE beach and if you wanted to stay, the clothes had
to go. I saw some sweet women in the bunch turn lynchman but I understood
where they were coming from. Everyone didn't go nude to be gawked at,
simply to enjoy the pleasure. Only one person made me feel uncomfortable
when they came up to say hello and down under the water went their camera.
I just quickly moved my arms around causing the water to stir and I'm sure
any pictures they took came out fuzzy. At first we didn't see anyone taking
pictures on the nude side so we left the camera in the bag. Then someone
said you could take pictures of yourselves or anyone that okd it but that
was all. Out came our camera, had to have some.
Dinner, nap then P.J. party. Oddly, I felt more uncomfortable parading in my lingerie then I felt nude. Tim still hasn't figured that one out. The party was a blast but I knew I wouldn't last all night in the disco. It was very crowded and my pulse was now being taken over by the basebeat of the music. We took our 2nd place in the couple category and split with Steve and Tina to the nude Jacuzzi. Too hot, the cold pool was just fine. Try as we may, we couldn't stay awake for the late night crowd.

WEDNESDAY--

A laid back day with Tina & Steve. Good conversation, great relaxation, here comes the daily one hour rain. It lasted a little longer but that's okay there's lunch in the dining room. After sitting down, Tim & Tina went to the little girls/boys room. The DJ asked everyone to stand and Steve
and I were ushered to the dance floor. More fun and games and after winning a bottle of coffee liqueur we finished our lunch and watched some other games. We decided earlier that we were going to try the Pastafari restaurant tonight for a mid-week change. Dinner was absolutely fantastic tonight. A different setting, but the same great conversation with Steve & Tina. Did we just meet them? Nude Jacuzzi, cold pool, up a little later but just couldn't make it.

THURSDAY--
We've crossed the mid-week hump, don't think about it. Decide to do the
snorkel trip. Just beautiful, nuf said, do it if you go. Learned how to tie
a toga, ready for the party tonight. Everyone in Togas!!!!!!!! Had to take a picture of the guy who tied his toga with duct-tape. Steve & Tina's son knows the secret of the duct-tape, here's one he might not have thought of. Had to take a moment out and reflect on the thought that here is a crowded room of adults all in sheets. Watched the talent show that was made up guests/employees. My eyes filled up at a mans rendition of Mona-Lisa. Is there a scout in the audience? Decided to try the disco at Tim's insistence while it wasn't crowded. Two hours later we danced our dinner off and were ready for the cold pool. We are up later then we've been all week maybe we can see some late night antics. NONE! Maybe those other web-sites were
lying. Guess we'll have to make our own party. Did I mention that there's a
cave with a waterfall covering the entrance in the nude area? You must
check it out!
FRIDAY__
Ughh, last day, don't think about it. Body painting contest... Fun to put
on, hard to get off, especially if you are sunburn. Some good stuff. Asked
the winner form the Zoo crew if I could get a picture and he obliged.
Wanted to see Rick's cafe. The four of us went on a shopping excursion,
and had dinner at Rick's. The friendliest cab driver Oddley, request him if
you go. After Rick's, had the liquid courage to ask Oddley lots of questions
about the local people. Back at Hedo we continued the questioning session
with an employee while waiting for the pool to open back up. Seems they are
quite happy living there. There's no famine due to all of the fruit trees.
As one guy put it "If you can't climb a tree, you've got a problem mon".
This made me feel good, the sentimental lush that I am.
Ready for bed.

SATURDAY--
Departure day. Bags by the door, out by ten. Had our last breakfast with
our friends, and they waited patiently for our bus to leave so they could
bid farewell, at least their butts did!!!

Have a couple of hours to reflect on the week. Was it real? Yeah, it sure
was. Feeling rundown and ready for my own bed but not really wanting to go.
They really mean it when they say it's great to have no phone, or no
worries. Please don't make me go back.
Tim looks relaxed yet a bit sad also. There's no conversation heard on the
bus ride back.................................. .
